The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum was created by the American Quarter Horse Association, based in Amarillo, Texas. It respects people and horses that contribute to the growth of the American Horse Quarter.

Museum
American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & amp; The museum displays honorary photographs and paintings of the famous American Quarter Horses in the current championship line. Many paintings by western artist Orren Mixer. There is an interactive exhibit on horse anatomy, horseback riding and discipline from the American Quarter Horse. Other displays include artifacts, rides and cowboy outfits, tactics, photos and ribbons and memorabilia about inductees.

Hall of Fame nomination
For consideration by the Hall of Fame, anyone can nominate a person or a horse for consideration. The nomination of membership is due on 1 October. They were then screened and sent to the Hall of Fame committee which met in March next. Nominations remain active for three years, then have to sit for three years before reconsideration. People who are thought to be alive or dead, but horses must die.
