The Old Fashioned glass or glass stone is a short glass used to serve spirits, like whiskey, with ice cubes ("on rocks"). It's also typically used to serve certain cocktails, such as Old Fashioned, from which it receives its name.
Old Fashioned glasses usually have wide and thick edges, so the non-liquid ingredients of the cocktail can be smoothed using muddler before the main ingredients are added.
Ancient Glasses usually contain 180-300Ã, ml (6-10Ã, US flÃ, oz). The Old Fashioned Double Glass (sometimes referred to by retailers as glass DOF ) contains 350-470Ã, ml (12-16Ã, à ° flÃ, à ° AS).
