He competed in the featherweight and lightweight divisions, but also competed as a welterweight in mixed martial arts, and as a lightweight middle class in boxing.

In 2015, after five consecutive wins, McGregor won the UFC Featherweight Championship at UFC 189. The pay-per-view event earned 825,000 purchases, one of the largest in the company's history, and established McGregor as the main advocate. He united the title after beating JosÃÆ'à © Aldo in thirteen seconds at UFC 194, which was the fastest title triumph in UFC history. McGregor created more history after defeating Eddie Alvarez for the UFC Light Championship at UFC 205, as he became the first fighter in the promotion to simultaneously hold the title in two separate heavy divisions.
McGregor made his professional boxing debut in 2017, in a big fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. The fight attracted 4.3 million pay-per-view purchases, which is the second highest draw in Boxing history.

Nicknamed "The Notorious", McGregor is considered the most controversial fighter in the promotion, and is known for talking to trash, with some explosions gaining considerable media attention. His actions and approaches to counter promotions have earned him a comparison with Muhammad Ali.

On February 17, 2007, at the age of 18, McGregor made his mixed martial arts debut in a fight against Kieran Campbell for the promotion of the Irish Ring of Truth in Dublin. In 2008, McGregor began practicing at Straight Blast Gym (SBG) in Dublin under John Kavanagh.
Mixed professional mixed martial arts career
Early career (2008-2013)
On March 9, 2008, McGregor experienced his first professional MMA bout, as Gary Morris lightly and defeated with a second round TKO. After McGregor won his second match against Mo Taylor, he made his debut as a featherweight player in a loss through a submission against Artemij Sitenkov. After a featherweight victory in his next fight against Stephen Bailey, McGregor contemplates a different career path before his mother contacts his coach John Kavanagh and revives him to continue to pursue a mixed martial art.
McGregor then won the next fight, also in the featherweight, against Connor Dillon, before moving back to mild to fight against Joseph Duffy, where he received his second professional loss after sending to a triangle-choke choke. After this, during 2011 and 2012, McGregor went on to win eight consecutive wins, where he won the CWFC Featherweight and Lightweight championship, making him the first professional mixed martial artist to hold a degree in two divisions simultaneously. In February 2013, UFC President Dana White traveled to Dublin, Ireland to receive an Honorary Patronage Gold Medal from Trinity College and was flooded with a request to sign McGregor to the UFC. After meeting with McGregor, and speaking with UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, White offered him a contract a few days later.

UFC Debut
In February 2013, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced that they had signed McGregor with a multi-fight contract. Upon joining, McGregor became the second Irish competitor to compete for the company, following fellow TomG Tom Egan team member.
On April 6, 2013, McGregor made his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage on the first UFC card in Fuel TV: Mousasi vs. Latifi . Brimage started the fight aggressively, meeting McGregor in the middle of the octagon before launching an attack to push him back. McGregor, who repeatedly throws his left hand counter, found little success with his initial blow. After ensuring that Brimage is vulnerable to snap kicks aimed at his chest and chin, McGregor starts using his curved left hand, throwing it every time the Brimage moves forward into a striking range. These trays were grounded shortly after McGregor began using them. The fight was halted 1:07 to halftime. The win also gave McGregor his first "Knockout of the Night" award.
McGregor is expected to face Andy Ogle on 17 August 2013 at UFC Fight Night 26, but Ogle withdrew from a fight that mentions the injury and was replaced by Max Holloway. McGregor confuses Holloway with unusual boxing techniques, and the incorporation of various taekwondo kicks, many of which are not used at MMA to a significant degree. McGregor is able to control the striking range by using long low side kicks and is not committed to Holloway's knees and shin, and starts the combination by jumping with kicks and bike kicks. When the fight is brought to the ground, McGregor takes control over, makes positional advances, and reduces his opponent's attack on the pitch. McGregor won the bout with a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26). After a fight with Holloway, an MRI scan revealed that McGregor had tore his anterior ligament (ACL) during the fight and would need surgery, leaving him unable to act for up to ten months. The events surrounding McGregor with Holloway are the main focus of a documentary by Motive Television and SevereMMA.com for RaidiÃÆ'ó TeilifÃÆ's ÃÆ'â ⬠ireann in 2014, entitled "The Notorious".
2014
Returning after an injury
McGregor is expected to face Cole Miller on July 19, 2014 at UFC Fight Night 46 in a comeback game after recovering from his ACL injury. However, Miller was pulled out of the fight that mentions a thumb injury and was replaced by Diego BrandÃÆ'à oo. McGregor fought BrandÃÆ'à £ o in front of a loud, rowdy crowd of 9,500 at The O2 in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland. McGregor started the fight with a spinning side kick, before finding his reach and managed to land a variety of taekwondo kicks, and left-hand counters. BrandÃÆ' à £ o, the black belt of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, attempted to incite two removals, so that he could utilize his pedigree, but both attempts were avoided by McGregor. Nevertheless, most of the battles were spent on the field, when McGregor achieved a 1:20 elimination into the fight. When the fight returned to the feet in the third minute, McGregor started using the cross of his left hand, and started cutting the cage. BrandÃÆ'à o o, trapped between the octagon and McGregor, fell to his side after being hit with a left-hand cross when the fight entered the fourth minute. The fight was officially stopped by referee Leon Roberts at 4:05 in the first half. The win earned McGregor his first "Night Show" award.
Before the next fight, McGregor met with Lorenzo Fertitta and signed a new multi-fight contract with UFC. McGregor next faces Dustin Poirier on September 27, 2014 at UFC 178. The fight was one of the most anticipated fights on the UFC 178 card, with McGregor and Poirier two of only four people involved in pre-match press conferences, with originally scheduled headliners Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. Part of the anticipation comes from the challenges posed by the game: Poirier is McGregor's first opponent in the top ten UFC featherweight. Although McGregor landed 9 significant strikes for Poirier 10, he managed to secure a win early in the first half, by pressing Poirier to his hind legs, before exploding with a left hook behind Poirier's ear, forcing referee Herb Dean to enter. the finish officially came at 1:46 to the first half. This marked the first loss of UFC by Poirier via KO/TKO, and earned McGregor his second "Night Performance" award. In a post-fight interview with commentator Joe Rogan, McGregor called the UFC Featherweight Championship as the next destination in the organization, stating that "If [UFC] wanted, I would eliminate Chad Mendes and step in and give the fans what they wanted; v. McGregor. "

McGregor's dominant victory over Poirier, paired with his garbage crap is directed at the rest of the featherweight division, especially UFC Featherweight Champion José Aldo, allowing him to establish claims for potential title titles in the near future. McGregor is then scheduled to face the eternal featherweight rival Dennis Siver on January 18, 2015 at UFC Fight Night 59, in what was then considered by UFC President Dana White's opponent # 1. If McGregor has to win the fight, he will face Aldo for the Fur Championship at the end 2015. The bout is McGregor's return to Boston, after his 2013 bout with Max Holloway, and is the fourth most attended UFC War Event ever. time, with an official presence of 13,828. With a four-inch range advantage, McGregor was able to land his left hand signature consistently, with Siver struggling to fight all throughout the fight. McGregor kept his distance by using a side kick to Siver's leg, as well as a wildly spinning wheel kick and a round jump shot. Many of the most successful violations of the Siver came in a slanted way of kicking into McGregor's lead leg, and into his chest. McGregor largely managed to avoid his opponent's attack after the first two minutes of the fight, as he would slip under any left-hook counter that Siver offered when McGregor stepped in to send his left cross. Siver, a practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and capable Judo, tried three removals in the first round of the fight, but McGregor was able to avoid all three attempts with ease. Despite landing 43 significant strikes for Siver 27 in the first half, the fight extended to the second half, where McGregor landed more than four times as much of an attack as his opponent. At 1:26 to become second, McGregor landed a left-hand cross that dropped Siver onto his back. After passing through Siver's defense, McGregor fired at his opponent and started throwing punches and elbows. Referee Herb Dean formally stopped the fight at 1:54 in the second half. The victory came through TKO. The win also gave McGregor their third "Achievement Night" award. After the fight, McGregor jumped over the cage and faced JosÃÆ'à © Aldo, who sat on the side of the cage at the event.
Interim Fur Championship Match
A highly anticipated fight with Aldo was announced on January 30, 2015, at UFC 183 Q & amp; A. McGregor himself stated that he is expected to face Aldo on July 11, 2015 at UFC 189 for an unnecessary UFC Featherweight Championship, during UFC's International Fighting Week. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC believes that the fight will exceed expectations, increase promotional budgets for the event, with company president Dana White stating that "[UFC] spends more money promoting Aldo-McGregor than fights in UFC history." In an effort to publicize the fight, both McGregor and Aldo embark on a 12-day world tour, where they stop in eight cities in five countries, including Brazil's Aldo (Rio de Janeiro), USA (Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Boston, New York City), Canada (Toronto), England (London), and the hometown of McGregor in Dublin, Ireland. The tour starts in Rio de Janeiro on March 20, and finishes in Dublin on March 31st. However, on June 23, it was reported that Aldo suffered a broken rib and had been pulled out of the fight due to injury. McGregor remains on the cards and rescheduled to face Chad Mendes for the Temporary Feather Championship. This opponent's change is considered to be very stylistically significant, not only because Mendes is ranked # 1 and the former title challenger, but also because McGregor's previous opponents at UFC, as well as Aldo, are considered to be a striking technician. According to many experts, McGregor has never faced a previous wrestler, which Mendes, a former NCAA Division I wrestler, is.
In the weighing team, McGregor and Mendes both made the 145 pound limit, ahead of a record crowd of 11,500 spectators. Once again, McGregor's colleagues flocked to the United States to support him, with Dana White stating that about 25% of tickets sold for the event are from Ireland and the UK. The official attendance for the event, 16,019, broke the record in Nevada, while the $ 7.2 million gate broke the record for mixed martial arts events in the United States. Just before the fight, McGregor's distinctive song, "The Foggy Dew", was sung directly by Irish singer-songwriter, Sinà © à ad O'Connor, who performed the song he recorded with The Chieftains band in 1995..
McGregor opened the offensive game, using a back-kick spinning as soon as the fight started, before being demoted by Mendes. On foot, Mendes and McGregor exchanged strikes for much of the first two minutes, McGregor landed his left cross signature as well as a snap shot to his opponent's body, and Mendes used a hard left hook and overhand right. McGregor took advantage of a range of eight inches by throwing a variety of taekwondo techniques at a distance, including plenty of back-kicking kicks, and locomotive kicks. At 2:13 in the first half, Mendes made a successful repeal, before ending up in McGregor's hands. After being hit with elbows from Mendes, McGregor attempted to escape back to his feet, suffering a striking combination as a result. McGregor's offense remains targeted to his opponent's body, in an attempt to drain Mendes's energy. The successful third and final elimination for round 1 for Mendes occurred at 3:44 pm, and caused Mendes to quickly pass through McGregor's defenses and reach the side controls, before being pulled back into half-guard. Mendes briefly tried the guillotine topside in the final round a minute, but McGregor was able to roll out of the submission. In the final seconds of the round, Mendes was warned repeatedly by referee Herb Dean for sticking his fingers into the wound he opened above McGregor's eyebrows early in the round. In the first half, McGregor managed to land 19 of 51 significant strikes, compared to Mendes 15 from 28. 53% of McGregor's attacks were handled by the body, while 50% of Mendes were directed to the head. Mendes also managed to land 3 attacks on McGregor on the ground, including the elbows that cut McGregor's eyebrows. Many mixed martial arts groups, including Sherdog, Caged Insider, MMA Junkie, and Bloody Elbow, scored 10-9 rounds for Chad Mendes.
At the opening of the second half, McGregor continued to inflict damage on Mendes's body, before sprawling to avoid an estimate of 0:22 seconds. After various successful boxing combinations, Mendes landed a takedown at 0:48. Mendes retained the top spot for most of the round after the lifting, landing 13 strikes to McGregor's head. McGregor, who was left offensive on the ground, landed a flurry of 7 elbow strikes to Mendes's head from 2:37 onwards. Mendes complains to Herb Dean that the elbow is illegal, but Dean disagrees, allowing McGregor to continue his attack. At 4:12 rounds, Mendes tried another topside guillotine from half the keeper, letting McGregor swing back to his feet and continue his attack in the distance. McGregor started landing the hull, hooks and left crucifix, before sprinting to avoid Mendes's third-round effort at 4:32. With 10 seconds left in the round, McGregor landed a jab-prick combination that sent Mendes to the canvas. A series of attacks sent to forced Mendes forced Herb Dean to step in and stop the fight at 4:57, with 3 seconds remaining in the round.
McGregor won the battle through a second-round TKO, winning the UF Interim Featherweight Championship. Mendes came to McGregor shortly after the fight was stopped, and McGregor thanked him for accepting the fight, saying, "You are a legend for taking this fight... [Aldo] a juicy drunkard." The emotionally visible McGregor said in his post-war interview with Joe Rogan that he was "fascinated by the support.I can not say with words how grateful I am to everyone who supported me and followed me... To come here and only to hear all the support [on the scale] and today... I am shaken by it. "When asked about JosÃÆ'à © Aldo by Rogan, McGregor declared that" in my opinion, JosÃÆ'à à walks in. I have a larger wound that leads to this fight rather than a bruised rib [Aldo], and I still appear here and perform... If he wants to come back, he can come back, but I swear to God that the day will come. "The injury that McGregor reconciles later revealed as a ACL tears that the militant gained during his training camp. During Mendes's post-game interview, McGregor approached his opponent, and the two men expressed their respect and gratitude towards each other. This victory extends McGregor's victory "Performance of the Night" to four.
McGregor then takes part in the UFC reality television series The Ultimate Fighter where he will train against Urijah Faber. The "U.S. vs. Europe" installment is the first time the coaches have not fought each other during the event. Faber team member, Ryan Hall, finally won the competition.
Combat fighting Championship Feather
On August 10, Dana White confirmed that the UFC 194 event, originally scheduled to be held at AT & P Stadium in Texas on December 5, will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A day later, on August 11, it was announced that the event would take place on December 12, and Conor McGregor would face JosÃÆ'à © Aldo in the long-awaited UFC Featherweight Championship rally. It will be the second time in a row that McGregor is scheduled to fight in Las Vegas in a headlining match. McGregor emerged from the announcement of the fight as nearly 2-to-1 favorite bets over Aldo.
At the UFC's "Go Big" press conference on September 4, 2015, McGregor referenced both Aldo and other opponents' tendencies to pull out of the fight with him, pointing out that Aldo would not fight UFC 194. He appealed to everyone on stage, from divisional members a 145-pound featherweight class to a heavy 170-pound division, to "prepare for this fight, for I do not think [Aldo] appears... Do not use [Mendes] the grounds of the camps and all this bullshit.Keep ready, because [Aldo] is gone. "McGregor also made a comment shortly before the press conference detailing his intention to move up to the 155-pound lightweight division, and capture the UFC Light Championship. He stated, "I will unite the belt, I will destroy the division [feather], and then I will take the light division too."
In the week of UFC 194, Dana White expressed her belief that the event would attract more attention than any other mixed martial art event in history. "[UFC 194] became a trend in everything, shape and shape to be the greatest thing we ever did... this fight [set to gross at the gate] $ 10,000,000." On weighing, both McGregor and Aldo reached the determined weight limit of 145 pounds, making an official battle in front of 9,000 raucous spectators. During the traditional staredown, the two men must be separated from each other. The event is in line with its monetary potential, generating a $ 10.1 million live gate, breaking the previous record for mixed martial arts events in the United States, established at UFC 189. The final attendance for the event also broke the attendance record in Nevada, with attendance figures 16516. The buyrate for pay-per-view is 1,200,000, placing it as the second highest buyrate in UFC history, behind only UFC 100.
When the two men meet in the middle of the octagon for referee John McCarthy's instruction, Aldo refuses to make eye contact with McGregor, according to his pre-match tradition. Both men do touch the usual gloves. When the fight started, the two men hurried into the center of the cage. McGregor threw the first attack of the fight, a left cross that failed to connect. Aldo's follow-up move also failed to make contact with McGregor. McGregor, trying to build distance, uses a front-leg kick, is directed to Aldo's main leg. At 0:09 to the opening round, Aldo stepped into his pocket, hitting a right cross in an attempt to connect with the left hook. But when Aldo tries this combination, McGregor steps back and replies with his left hook. McGregor's strength, combined with Aldo's forward momentum, caused a shot to drop Aldo onto the canvas. After sending two hammers to the grounded Aldo, John McCarthy stopped the fight. The bout lasted 13 seconds, the fastest finish in the UFC title fight, ceded Conor McGregor as the only undisputed second UFC featherweight champion in history. On the fifth consecutive record-breaking occasion, McGregor became the winner of the "Performance of the Night" bonus. The victory over Aldo extends the UFC winning streak to 7 and the overall winning streak to 15. In a post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, McGregor talks about how "no one can take a left-hand shot... [Aldo] strong and he's fast But precision beat strength, and time beat speed. "McGregor expressed his sympathy for his opponent, stating" I feel for Josà © à "He is a phenomenal champion." We deserve to go a little longer. At the end of the interview, McGregor grabbed Rogan's microphone, before yelling, "Irish baby, we succeeded yeah!"

Missing the first UFC
After emphatically sending Aldo, McGregor continues to express his desire to move to a lightweight division, in an effort to become the first UFC heavyweight champion to ever have. At FOX's post-match sporting event for UFC 194, McGregor said he would "like to ride and fight for the 155-pound belt and imitate what I did at the Cage Warriors." A week after UFC 194, the UFC Light Championship was contested at UFC in Fox: dos Anjos vs. Cerrone 2, between defending champion Rafael dos Anjos, and a lightweight # 2 contender, Donald Cerrone. dos Anjos beat Cerrone 1:06 into the first half, through TKO. After the battle, during the post-combat interview, Anjos dos aimed at McGregor, telling Champion Featherweight that "it's better to stay in the fur division... I'll fight you in Brazil I'll go to Ireland to fight you there. I am here to stay. "On January 12, 2016, UFC officially announced that Conor McGregor will face Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC Lightweight Championship on March 5th at UFC 196 (then known as UFC 197). The event will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in McGregor's third headlining performance at the venue. On January 20, UFC hosted a press conference featuring all the fighters involved in the two championship games that were headlining the UFC 197 event, including McGregor and dos Anjos. McGregor criticized his opponent several times during a press conference, stating "Rafael dos Anjos is a free TV fighter he does not have much to offer other than a gold belt... His last gate is $ 1.7 million. He is fighting TV free. a dime. "McGregor also entertained the challenging idea for the UFC Lightweight Championship, telling the media that" I will fight in many weight divisions, I like the 170-pound title sound, I feel like I can take three gold belts. " His prediction for a fight with dos Anjos is that he will "clean up Rafael in a minute."
On February 23, it was announced dos Anjos withdrew from the battle after breaking his legs. Competitors in all different heavyweights were asked to enter in a short time to face McGregor, including former UFC Featherweight Champion José Aldo, who rejected the fight for "lack of time" to prepare it, and former UFC Lightweight Champion and ranked 2nd Frankie featherweight Edgar, who changed the fight with a groin injury. Instead, ranked # 10 lightweight rival, winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 5, and former UFC Lightweight Championship contender Nate Diaz will step up to fight McGregor at 13 days notice instead of Anjos dos. Initially assumed as a lightweight contest, McGregor allowed a fight to be contested at 170-pound, in the welterweight division, to avoid forcing Diaz to reduce the 155-pound weight limit in small time, telling Diaz to "feel comfortable". McGregor opened as a favorite of -400, the third highest opening behind his fight with Dennis Siver and Diego BrandÃÆ'à oo, and was widely expected to best Diaz during the contest. On February 24, 2016, a press conference was held to help promote the new premier event , with both men trading the humiliation back and forth. At Thursday's pre-game press conference on March 3, McGregor and Diaz were involved in a brief fight during the match, after McGregor got attacked on Diaz's main hand.At the weighing, in front of the pro crowd -McGregor others, the two men made the welterweight limit, Diaz weighing 169 pounds, and McGregor weighing 168. The UFC 196 event, while failing to surpass the gates and records of the presence of McGregor's previous match against Aldo, gave the honorable number, with the revised presence of 14,898, and a total gate of $ 8.1 million.More importantly, the event gets the pem purchased PPV of 1,317,000 purchases, exceeding McGregor's own personal record of 1,200,000 for UFC 194.
For his walkout, McGregor decided to leave The Notorious BIG's "Hypnotize" for the first time since his homecoming game against BrandÃÆ'à £ o, and instead chose to use a combination of SinÃÆ'à à ad O'Connor and The Chieftain's "The Foggy Dew" followed by The Game and Skrillex's "El Chapo". The bout begins with McGregor's shifting attitude often, before looking to establish his patented left cross. The first minute consisted of McGregor featuring a variety of kicks, before Diaz started, and forced McGregor into the cage. McGregor, aware that Diaz will make his head low after providing a jab-cross combination, trying to use the left punch, with varying success. Punctures Diaz made McGregor a landslide for the first two minutes, and McGregor found it difficult to use left-left counters who had dropped Josà © Aldo. At 2:32, McGregor is connected with the top left counters of Diaz stab, which shocks his opponent for a short interval. McGregor's left hand also proved successful, employed because Diaz will attack. Hook right Diaz made it in the first half, catching McGregor as he will step into range. At 3:12, during a combination of McGregor, Diaz replied with two hooks in a row, one slap, Nate's signature and his brother, Nick Diaz, called "Stockton Slap". McGregor avoids Diaz's stab by slipping to his right, often before throwing his left hand up. At 3:28 pm, commentator Mike Goldberg noted that there was "a lot of blood on the right side of Nate Diaz's face", indicating that McGregor had opened a wound in Diaz. The last minute consisted of both men exchanging punches, before a slow body kick from McGregor caused Diaz to drop him at 4:18. McGregor swept Diaz's leg, and ended up in his opponent's defense, hammering with two significant strikes. McGregor landed 28 to Diaz '23 strike during round 1, both men reaching a connection percentage of 37%. Many mixed martial arts sites were awarded 10-9 for McGregor for the round, including Bloody Elbow, MMA Mania, and Sherdog.
The second half starts with Diaz using his right-handed check hook, trying to keep McGregor aggressive at distance. Nonetheless, McGregor was successful with his bodywork, landing the left hook pounding to the right side of Diaz at 0:37. McGregor began to connect with a significant combination, until Diaz grabbed and pushed McGregor onto the fence, at 1:15. After a combination of uppercuts from McGregor at 1:48, Diaz delivered his first significant ridicule in the fight, shrugging his opponent. As the ridicule begins to increase in frequency from both sides, Diaz's volume and speed increases, his landing increasing. After a 7-punch combination from McGregor, Diaz was separated from the exchange and proceeded to land a jab-cross combination at 2:37, which McGregor faltered. A group of strikes, including slaps, followed this combination, Diaz landing with great effectiveness until another initiation of grip, where Diaz landed 10 attacks. After both were released, McGregor hit back with a barrage of 4 attacks, before being hit with two consecutive jab-cross combinations. At 3:47 pm, McGregor pulled out two legs, Diaz managed to widen to avoid a shot. Diaz, the arms curled around McGregor's neck, threatening the guillotine choke, forcing McGregor onto his back after stopping McGregor out of position as he did during the fight with Chad Mendes at UFC 189. At 4:00 pm Diaz secured his mount, before firing a volley from above. In an effort to avoid the attack, McGregor let go of his back, letting Diaz poke his head into the curve of his arm, and secure the naked choke in the back. McGregor tapped the submission at 4:12 into the second half, forcing the referee Herb Dean to intervene and stop the fight.
The disadvantage is the first Conor McGregor at UFC, and the third overall. It broke its winning streak of 15 consecutive wins, and was its first loss since November 2010. Both competitors were awarded a "Fight of the Night" bonus, and McGregor received the highest ever purse of any fighter in the company's history, totaling $ 1,000,000. In a post-combat interview, McGregor evaluates the contest, stating that "I feel I take the first round but I am inefficient with my energy but I am humbled in triumph or defeat.I honor Nate, he goes in, he takes the fight with short notice , comes in at 170, and does the job. He's efficient, I'm inefficient. That's it, I think. "Regarding the future, McGregor says he will" face him like a man, like a champion, and come back and do it again. " At a post-match press conference, McGregor was satisfied with the loss, stating that "this is a match." We won some, we lost a few.I will not escape the challenge I will not escape defeat. This is a battle business. This is another day. will return. "

Incident at Bellator 187
On November 10, 2017, Ireland McGregor SBG team mate Charlie Ward made his debut at Bellus 187 in Dublin against John Redmond. Ward beat Redmond in the first round, and McGregor jumped into the cage (he's not a licensed cornerman) to celebrate Ward's victory while the fight has not been officially declared over. McGregor is separated by referee Marc Goddard, as Goddard needs to verify whether the knockout system is in front of the bell, and to ensure lock the enclosure for medical staff to assess the health of Redmond being knocked out. McGregor attacks Goddard, while he pushes and confronts Goddard in a wild fight, and also checks out Redmond who falls and drops him when he tries to get up.
McGregor made the rounds around the cage after he left the cage a few minutes later, then climbed up and put his arms around the home apron to continue Ward's victory. He was stopped by a commissioner and McGregor, agitated, slapped the commissary's face. McGregor later admitted saying "Did you see your man trying to reach me and I gave him a loud noise in the face?" Redmond stated after the fight that Goddard intended to let the fight continue into the second round, but the commission Mohegan Sun, who oversaw the show, was selected to end the fight due to his behavior McGregor in the ring.
A day after the incident, commission chief for Bellator 187, Mike Mazzulli, president of the Mohegan Tribe Athletics Regulatory Department (MTDAR) and the Boxing Commission Association, issued a statement, stating that "McGregor's behavior jeopardizes the health and safety" of fighters who are at home during the event Ireland. Bus attack on UFC 223 Media Day
On April 3, 2018, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Artem Lobov had a small fight, in which Nurmagomedov cornered Lobov. Lobov is known to be close to McGregor, with whom Nurmagomedov has quarrels and garbage exchanges. Both groups have a long history of humiliation and confrontation.
On April 5, 2018, during a promotional performance for UFC 223, McGregor and a group of about twenty others were left to the Barclays Center by members of a credible promotional team. They appear to confront Nurmagomedov, who is on the bus leaving the arena with "red corner" fighters for UFC 223 on it, such as Rose Namajunas, Al Iaquinta, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Ray Borg, and Michael Chiesa. McGregor allegedly ran alongside the slow-moving bus and then ran past him to pick up metal equipment, which he then threw into the bus window, before attempting to throw another object around him. Chiesa and Borg were injured by broken glass, and sent to the hospital. They were immediately removed from the card upon advice from NYSAC and the UFC medical team. Lobov was also withdrawn from his cause for his involvement in disputes.
UFC President Dana White said there was a warrant for McGregor's arrest, and the NYPD said McGregor was an interesting person. White claims McGregor told him via text message: "It has to be done." "You can imagine he would be unexpectedly sued," White said, and denied suggestions that the violence was an act intended to arouse interest in UFC. McGregor and others involved initially fled from Barclays Center after the incident. He and a defendant exchanged that night: he was charged with three counts of assault and one count of crime. He was later accused of being threatened and reckless in the indictment and released on bail of $ 50,000 until June 14, 2018.
