The Cape Cod or Cape Codder is a type of cocktail made with only fruit juices and spirits. This name refers to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a peninsula and popular tourist destination located in the eastern United States that is famous for growing cranberries.

Materials
A Cape Cod is made with vodka and cranberry juice, and may be garnished with lime slices. The proportion varies, with the source providing the recommended vodka-to-juice ratio of 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 and 1/5, while other sources do not recommend proper proportions. Some sources recommend lime juice instead of the lime ornament.

This drink was conceived in 1945 by a cranberry peasant cooperative Ocean Spray under the name "Red Devils". The name "Cape Codder" dates from the early 1960s.
