The Shih-poo is a small domestic dog. This is a cross between Poodle and Shih Tzu. The name Shih-poo is a portmanteau of two names of descendants. Shih-poo is also known as "Pooshih", do not be confused with "Poo-shi", which is a cross Poodle and Shiba Inu. Shih-poos has an important reference in popular culture.
Legitimate breed associations such as AKC, UKC, and CKC, do not recognize Shih-poo, or any other designer's cross, as a breed in itself. However, some major kennel clubs accept the registration of race dogs and mixed dogs for performance events such as agility and obedience.

Characteristics
Shih-poo is one of a collection of Poodle breeds, bred in an attempt to combine Poodle characteristics, such as high intelligence and low fur coats (desired for people with pet allergies), with desirable characteristics of the type other. - in this case, Shih Tzu. However, it is likely that the unwanted nature of the parents will be produced as well, so the puppy should be chosen carefully.
Shih-poos come in different colors, like all black, all white, beige, sable, brown, and mix and any combination there.

Size
The size varies, and depending on whether the Poodle parent is from a tea cup, miniature, or breed standard. Typically, shih-tzu and miniature poodles are selected for the elderly, which produce an average adult weight of 8-18 pounds. In addition, Shi-Poos can stand up to 8-15 inches tall. The standard shih-tzu and poodle mix is ââvery rare.
Temperament
The breeding of Shih-poos parents has many temperament traits, more than appearance. Therefore, it is easier to generalize their personality. They are usually intelligent, alert, friendly, and devoted to their owners even though they often feel ashamed around strangers and like many small dogs that need to be properly socialized around children. They are demonstrative and seem to enjoy being raised and being the center of attention, doing bad at home because they want their owner company.
Shih-poo is usually very smart and eager to please the owner. These qualities make them highly trained. They learn quickly and seem to enjoy showing off the trick. They can be very vocal and tend to bark easily. However, without barking the right training can be excessive.
Health
Shih-poos is known to have a lifespan of up to 15 years or more. Some Shih-poos have snouts that are more like Poodle-like than their Shih Tzu parents, reducing many of the respiratory problems that Shih Tzus can experience, such as Brachycephalic airway obstructive syndrome. However, a common short snout for Shih Tzus can be obtained as well. Shih-poos has also been associated with entropion, patellar luxation, hip dysplasia, and cataracts.
