Ryan Roberts (born July 16, 1978) is an American mixed martial artist. Roberts competes in the Featherweight division, but also competes in Lightweight and Bantam classes. He is the current featherweight champion of VFC, and is also known for his short work at Bellator and UFC.

Mixed martial arts career
Roberts started his mixed martial arts career in 2006 for the promotion of the AFC, and made local rival Nick Wright out of strike early in the first half for his first win. Four fights into his career, Roberts facing the future of WEC and UFC fighter Donald Cerrone, and were handed out with the armbar in the first round.
He will continue to fight local competitors in various small promotions in Iowa, Colorado, and Nebraska, and set a professional record of 10-2 before being signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship in early 2008.
Ultimate Fighting Championship
In his only appearance for UFC, Roberts faces Pride FC's surrender and pride specialist Marcus Aurelio at UFC Fight Night: Florian vs. Lauzon on April 2, 2008. Roberts was handed the arms in thirteen seconds, and then released from promotion soon after.
Post-UFC career
After the release of his UFC, Roberts will have a career with six worst winning streaks against opponents of various fighting status. On April 2, 2010, Roberts faced Chris Mickle at Midtown Promotions, and won the battle when Roberts beat Mickle with a slam in the first round. He won two more bouts and then signed by the Bellator.
Bela Championships
Roberts faces Eric Marriott in a rematch at Bellator 32 on October 14, 2010. He lost in a fight with a round decision.
He returned to Bellator after an unbeaten run at the regional circuit and faced Zach Makovsky at Bellator 54 on October 15, 2011. Roberts lost the battle with the north-south choke and was released from the Bellator.
Victory Battle Championship
Since being released from Bellator, Roberts has made an unexpected career revival, successfully capturing the VFC featherweight championship against Josh Arocho on December 15, 2012.
For his first defense title, Roberts faces WEC L.C. veteran. Davis at VFC 41 on December 14, 2013. Roberts won the battle back and forth with a separate decision. Roberts then faces Chase Beebe at VFC 42 on March 15, 2014, winning the bout with the dominant unanimous decision.
Roberts faces Jeremy Spoon at VFC: Fight Night Harrahs 1 on September 12, 2014. He won the battle with a thin split decision, marking a successful third successive title defense. In his final bout, Roberts faces UFC veteran Ramiro Hernandez at VFC 46 on July 25, 2015, winning a first-round knockout bout.
Alliance of the Battle of the Resurrection
Roberts signed a contract with Resurrection Fighting Alliance in mid-2015, and is expected to face Adam Townsend's prospect in his debut at RFA 30 on September 18, 2015.
