The acid mixture (also known as the sweet and sour mixture ) is a greenish yellow mixer and is used in many cocktails. It is made from more or less the same piece of lemon and/or lime juice and a simple syrup and is shaked with ice. It produces pearly-white fluid with the spoken taste.
Optionally, egg whites can be added to make the liquid slightly foaming.
Acid mixtures can be mixed with liquor to make acidic drinks; the most common are acid vodka (vodka) and whiskey sour (whiskey).
A pre-mix version is available, and is being used in many blades. This usually consists of powders that must be rehydrated by adding water before use.
